Last Day here in Napa. Aching with belated hellos and long farewells. I find my heart is as swollen as my eyes.
And last night - saying buh-bye to my little Napa Valley Wine Auction pals after a few days of good fun and questionable volunteer meals. Wine? Delicious. World's best. Still, we'd rather wax poetic about the Press Room Margaritas, I should think. How wonderful it is to have a cramped jaw, a cramped belly from laughing so much - at ourselves, and at the surrealism of the Auction and it's (frankly) wacked cast of characters. I'll have to ask Tom, Monte, Kim and Tom if I can post all the tasty rumors and teeth-gnashing gossip...conch sandwich anyone? A small collection of photos.
"Funny guy" Andy Demsky sent me away (begone!) with the following:
"May the blog rise up to meet you ...
Seems like it's time for a limmerick ... let me raise a drink ...
There was once a bon vivant named Thea who was struck with a radical idea she trucked off to Dublin drank big pints is pubs and was struck with radical hangovers and diarrhea."
